A special gift

I work a lot with children.  It's a challenge but I love it.  They make me move faster, think harder, and keep me on my toes at all times.   I love being on their eye level and getting lost in their world.

I recently met AJ and his family for a studio session.  He was bright and full of energy.  A week later, I got to see him again during a viewing session with his parents.

When I got there, he gave me a big smile but left quickly.  I saw him across the living room getting out a big box.  In my mind, I thought he was trying to find something to do, while his parents were busy with me.  After we got done and I was getting ready to leave, AJ ran over and handed me a picture.  He said, "I made it for you!"

I was blowen away and so thankful for the gift.  His thoughtful gesture meant more to me than anything I could ask for.  As I was about to leave, he ran over and gave me a big hug.  I was speechless.  A kid, who I had met just a week ago for only a few hours, treating me with such kindness...

All I can say is I am so grateful for what I get to do.  I am so blessed.

Younglife Capernaum Benefit Concert :: Dallas, TX

Last Saturday, I had an awesome opportunity to photograph the benefit concert for Younglife Capernaum.  I reached out to them and volunteered myself to photograph the event in hopes of bringing more awareness into the community through my art.

Shane & Shane, Christopher Williams, and Bethany Dillon performed that night.  They are the most amazing and kindest artists I've yet to meet!  During the concert, the Younglife members performed a special song through song and dance.  It was a blessing to watch them praise and worship so freely.

My wife and I had a great time and were so touched by the people we got to meet.

Please check them out and support their cause!
